Imagine an almost 64 years old man, married, three sons, grey hair and flirting with obesity. Imagine the bespectacled, halfway friendly appearing oval face of a pensioner ready and expectant to embark on a new and electrifying adventure. Imagine a senior citizen so giddy by the thought of cycling around the world that he enters early retirement from his beloved world of plant health and international negotiations.

If you have imagined these rough outlines you have found me РRalf. A baby boomer, born in Germany, emigrated to Finland and living in the lovely little village of Myrskylä in southern Finland. From here I will mount my bicycle for my cycle trip around the world and to where I will come back and descend from my bike after seven years of cycling all continents (touching wood).
